If you are looking for unique and effective ways to heal after birth, I’ve put together some postpartum resources for you to consider. As a mom of three, I strongly believe in sharing things I’ve learned along the way to help out other moms. We’re all in this together (yes, I grew up in the High School Musical era).

In addition to the other postpartum resources, I also highly recommend grabbing yourself a journal. This can be a physical journal or a digital one. The main idea here is to have something that you can use to jot down your thoughts, especially when you are having a tough day.
You don’t have to write a novel here every day. Sometimes, doodling works to clear your mind. Whatever you feel led to write or draw, you can spend five minutes at a time just to yourself in your journal. Journals are also a great way to measure your mental health as you can see the progression of your thoughts in your journal good and bad.

Pelvic floor therapy is one of the top postpartum resources because it helps your body fully heal. Your pelvic floor experiences tremendous stress during pregnancy and during childbirth. It’s important to give your body time to heal, but also to ensure it heals properly.

It wasn’t long ago that mothers didn’t have access to any postpartum resources. If they didn’t have family and friends to help, they were simply on their own. Today, the world continues to change to support postpartum women, though more support and education are desperately needed.
Use the list above to help heal during your postpartum journey. A friendly reminder that it can take a full year or more to heal after birth. This doesn’t mean just the immediate bleeding and healing from birth, but your mental health as well. In addition, there are other parts of your body that need more time to heal, such as your pelvic floor.
